Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, CVT also accepted Must-Have: - Accessing/Managing Ports - Accurate Monitoring - Angioplasty - Baseline Measurements - Cardiac Stent Placement - Central Venous Access - Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab - Endovascular Interventions - Hemodynamic Monitoring - Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab - Pacemaker Insertion - Percutaneous Coronary Interventions - Temporary Pacemaker - Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy Description: SCHEDULE: Five weeks of 4 ten-hour days followed by one week of five eight-hour days. This schedule provides a four-day weekend every six weeks. WEEKEND: Included in call requirements. CALL: 12 to 14 days in a six-week period with one to two weekends included. Must stay within a specified distance from the facility. FLOATING: Within facility and scope of practice as needed. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two years required; first-time travelers accepted. CLINICAL SCREEN: Candidates will be reviewed to determine clinical fit. The candidate must clear clinical and meet guidelines to proceed for final decision. REQUESTS FOR TIME OFF: Maximum of seven days allowed. HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work a minimum of two holidays. Major Holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s. COMPLIANCE: Full compliance required to start on time. If not compliant, a pushback of two weeks may occur. Locals accepted under the same terms. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No additional requests can be made post-offer or during the assigned week. Travelers are expected to work during orientation week. All onboarding documents must be completed promptly. Modules may vary by specialty and will be recorded. Daily census for unit: 4 to 12 patients. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
