Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required License: State License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT(R), and LSRTBE Must-Have: - EP and IR experience preferred - Experience with embolizations, coiling, ablations, and implants (ports, pacemakers, ICDs) - Proficient with Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser atherectomy, and thrombectomy devices - Strong STEMI experience with FTB/DTB times under 60 minutes - Ability to perform peripheral vascular and EP procedures Description: Please ensure travelers are aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign a traveler to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract, travelers accept the above and will report as assigned by their immediate unit manager if an emergency event were to occur. Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require coverage. Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation. Candidates must be able to work independently in all Cath Lab procedures. Travelers should be strong team players with a patient-first mindset. They must be willing to share knowledge and support colleagues. The lab performs cardiac, peripheral vascular, EP, and IR procedures. Equipment includes Impella, IABP, Inari, EKOS, AngioJet, Rotoblator, Shockwave, Diamondback, Medrad, and ACIST. Siemens and Canon imaging systems are utilized. A high-performing Code STEMI team focuses on best-in-system Door-to-Balloon times. Candidates must have peripheral vascular and Cath Lab experience. EP and IR experience is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable sharing knowledge and assisting others. Candidate must be able to respond within 30 minutes for call requirements. They will have an average daily census of 6 patients and will work 8-10 hour shifts, 5 days a week, based on department staffing. If a case starts at 0700, a traveler might need to arrive at 0615. For a 0900 case, arrival might be at 0815. Weekend coverage is required, with call required up to 3 times per week. This role demands a collaborative approach and prioritization of patient care. The unit emphasizes intense focus on FTB/DTB times under 60 minutes. Must be able to perform both peripheral interventions and EP procedures.
