Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required; patient ratios experience required (1:5-6) License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Telemetry - remote monitoring experience required - Accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs - Feeding tube care and management required - Isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac experience required - EKG testing experience required Description: This position involves working nights with a focus on telemetry and stroke patients. The shift is 7 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring 3 shifts per week. Float requirements are involved between multiple facilities. Telemetry monitoring of patients is a key responsibility. Experience with a variety of comorbidities is required. Additional responsibilities include maintaining patient safety and providing specialized care. Candidates should be comfortable managing patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. All nurses must pass a compliance EKG exam. Adherence to isolation precautions is critical. This role involves a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio. Feeding tube and wound care are essential skills needed for this position. Experience in managing central lines and IV starts is required. Strong communication skills and teamwork are necessary for success in this role. All travelers should anticipate floating to various assignments as necessary. This position supports the care of an adult and geriatric patient population.
