Test Engineer Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local electronics manufacturer that is seeking a Test Engineer to join their growing team. The Test Engineer will define, organize, and execute detailed testing to verify product performance and quality across various hardware and software platforms. The Test Engineer will also plan and execute comprehensive test suites and maintain configuration management. The ideal Test Engineer has a Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or MIS (Management Information Systems) and at least two years of experience in product function, quality, and reliability testing. The Test Engineer position is a full-time temp-to-hire opportunity in Fremont, CA.

Test Engineer Job Responsibilities:  

• Plan, Implement & Execute Comprehensive Test Suites
• Define, Organize & Execute Detailed Testing to Verify Product Performance & Quality
• Configure Appropriate Systems & Test Combinations to Efficiently Meet Requirements
• Document Test Procedures & Systematically Analyze Test Results
• Author Test Specifications & Maintain Configuration Management for Test Suites
• Design & Implement Software Download, Pre-burn & Post-burn Test Processes Across Multiple Product Lines
• Provide Test-Related Training & Technical Support
• Verify & Validate new Test Suites & Customer Bundles Before Deployment

Test Engineer Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems is Preferred
• Must Have at Least 2 Years of Experience in Product Function, Quality, or Reliability Testing
• Experience Testing Integrated Circuit Devices Featuring Significant Software Components is Preferred
• Must Have a Strong Technical Understanding of Microsoft Windows
• Must Have experience with UNIX, C/C++, & Testing within Network Environments
• Must Have Hands-on Experience Developing & Applying Software & System Methodologies
• Excellent Interpersonal& Organizational Skills are Required
• Strong Sense of Ownership & Assertiveness with the Ability to Manage Tasks Independently
